Our Engineering Platforms department would like to welcome an experienced dynamic
Site Reliability Engineer in our office in Amman.
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening the reliability, resiliency, and observability of our cloud platforms.
You will work across observability, incident management, post-mortems, and error correction practices, contributing directly to our cloud resiliency objectives.
You will act as a reliability advocate driving best practices, improving operational maturity, influencing culture, and ensuring reliability standards are consistently applied across teams and platforms.
Responsibilities
Champion and apply the Resiliency pillar of the Well-Architected Framework across all designs and operational activitiesDesign and execute Chaos Engineering experiments to validate system resilience and fault toleranceAssess workloads for cloud migration and modernization, ensuring minimal service disruptionOversee and monitor cloud migration initiatives to ensure smooth, reliable transitionsDesign, improve, and refactor observability solutions (metrics, logs, traces) for existing cloud infrastructurePartner with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to align observability at both service and organizational levelsContinuously evaluate cloud deployments for compliance with reliability standards, best practices, and operational readinessIdentify gaps in observability and drive corrective actions to improve visibility and alerting qualityStay current with emerging technologies, tools, and SRE methodologies, and actively share knowledge through training and enablementParticipate in capacity planning, performance analysis, and system tuning when requiredMentor engineers on reliability engineering, troubleshooting, and operational best practicesAnalyze, improve, and remediate system resiliency across the platform landscapeParticipate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, contributing to incident response and post-incident reviews
Experience Requirements
BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related discipline3+ years of cloud experience with Azure3+ years in an SRE, Platform, or Reliability Engineering roleHands-on experience with monitoring, APM, logging, and alerting platformsSolid understanding of incident, problem, and change management practicesStrong command of SRE principles, including error budgets, automation, and toil reductionPractical experience defining, measuring, and operating against Service Levels (SLIs/SLOs/SLAs)Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to coach and mentor othersDeep experience with Kubernetes and its surrounding ecosystemAdvanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform (HCL)Strong documentation, organization, and communication skillsProven ability to manage time effectively and independently research solutionsAdvanced skills in Linux, networking fundamentals, and scripting
