About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer (C#/.Net) to join our innovative team at our Berlin location, with hybrid working options available. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge financial solutions that provide flexible, customer-centric payment alternatives. Your contributions will directly influence the future of FinTech, helping us deliver human-centric and sustainable financial products backed by advanced technology and data insights. You will be integrated into one of our dynamic product teams, collaborating closely with cross-functional members to design, develop, and deploy robust software solutions. Your expertise will help shape our architecture, improve existing systems, and contribute to the creation of new revolutionary products that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: At least 5 years of hands-on experience with C# and the .NET framework, demonstrating a strong technical foundation.Proven experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications, with a focus on scalable microservices architectures.Deep understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.Extensive experience working with relational databases, preferably SQL Server, along with ORM tools like Entity Framework.Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and experience with cloud development best practices.Practical knowledge of messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka in distributed environments.Experience working within the FinTech or banking industry is advantageous.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.Ability to work effectively within an agile team environment, participating in Scrum ceremonies and collaborative planning.Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on writing maintainable, readable, and efficient code. Responsibilities As a Senior Backend Engineer, your core responsibilities will include: Designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software, APIs, and workflows that are maintainable and scalable.Leading the technical architecture design discussions and providing innovative solutions to complex problems.Participating actively in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure continuous improvement.Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications while maintaining comprehensive documentation.Implementing industry best practices and standards to enhance code quality, security, and performance.Mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative engineering culture that values innovation and quality.Contributing to the evolution of our microservice ecosystem, including integration and deployment strategies.Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our solutions and processes.
