Agentic Product Engineer

About the Role We are looking for an Agentic Product Engineer to join our FinCrime Engineering team, responsible for technology behind key Financial Crime processes, with a current focus on corporate customer onboarding and KYC. The team builds and operates onboarding flows, integrations with internal systems and external FinCrime providers, while gradually moving existing functionality from our legacy environment to a new cloud-native architecture. We work with a high level of engineering ownership: our engineers understand the business problem, help shape the solution, and own it through development and production. AI agents are embedded throughout our engineering workflow from coding and testing to debugging and problem-solving, while engineers remain responsible for technical decisions, quality, and production outcomes. What You’ll Do Build and improve KYC and corporate onboarding flows, including services already running in production.Gradually migrate FinCrime functionality from our legacy .NET environment to AWS-based services, redesigning components for the new architecture rather than simply rewriting them.Build and maintain integrations with internal systems and external KYC/FinCrime providers, including identity verification and sanctions screening services.Develop orchestration around onboarding processes, ensuring reliable data flows and traceability for audit purposes.Own the quality and operation of what you build, including automated testing, deployment, observability, troubleshooting, and production improvements.Use AI agents throughout the engineering lifecycle, critically reviewing their output and applying your own engineering and business context to the final solution. Current Tech Stack Our services are primarily built around Python, AWS and serverless architecture, with TypeScript becoming part of the evolving stack. Our legacy FinCrime services are primarily built on .NET / C#, supported by MS SQL and MongoDB. What We’re Looking For Strong commercial experience with Python backend development and solid software engineering fundamentals.Experience in fintech, payments, banking, trading, FinCrime, or another highly regulated financial services environment.Hands-on experience with AWS or another major public cloud, ideally including cloud-native, serverless or event-driven architectures.Experience building APIs, integrations and production services, with a solid understanding of automated testing, CI/CD and observability.Practical experience using AI coding tools or agents as part of day-to-day software development.Strong engineering judgement and ownership: ability to understand existing systems, critically review code and architecture, and make pragmatic technical decisions in an evolving environment. Beneficial Experience Direct experience with KYC/KYB, customer onboarding, transaction monitoring or other FinCrime processes..NET / C# and legacy modernisation experience, particularly migrating existing functionality towards a new architecture.
