Description

Hiring: DevOps Specialist Location: Remote within Canada Contract: Long-term Contract Openings: 7 Work Arrangement: Remote, with up to 15% onsite in Edmonton/Alberta as required Hours: 36.25 hrs/week We are looking for experienced DevOps Specialists to support digital transformation, service innovation, and modern application delivery projects. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement automation for application deployment, maintenance, and limited-downtime releases.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment templates, and reusable DevOps patterns.Support production operations, configuration, credentials, maintenance, database upgrades, migrations, backups, and recovery.Create scripts and tools to automate development and testing environments.Implement monitoring, telemetry, observability, and application performance solutions.Support integration testing, security scanning, system testing, performance/load testing, and Alpha/Beta releases.Automate manual processes using AI and modern automation solutions.Work with cross-functional Agile teams to support continuous delivery of custom-built applications.Required Experience: 3+ years with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) and/or GCP.4+ years with command-line interfaces and scripting.4+ years with PowerShell or similar scripting technologies.3+ years using SSH/Remote Desktop and enterprise troubleshooting tools.3+ years of basic security practices including secrets/credential management.Strong experience with networking concepts/tools including DNS, traceroute, and load balancing.Strong research, analysis, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.2+ years leveraging Generative AI and agentic tooling for delivery and operational activities.Preferred Experience: 2+ years designing/deploying Hybrid Cloud applications using Red Hat OpenShift.2+ years with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.3+ years working with CI/CD pipelines in large-scale enterprise environments.Experience with GitHub Actions.Experience supporting continuous delivery of custom-built solutions.Experience with VS Code or Visual Studio 2019+.Additional Requirements: Work must be performed within Canada.Candidates must be able to complete required security/background checks.Enhanced security clearance may be required for certain assignments.Interested candidates: Please share your updated resume highlighting hands-on DevOps, CI/CD, cloud, OpenShift, Terraform, automation, and AI experience.
