Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Java Software Engineer role based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The Senior Java Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and enterprise applications using Java and the Spring Framework.
The role includes implementing and optimizing microservices, writing clean and testable code, performing code reviews, and troubleshooting production issues.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, improve system architecture, and ensure high performance and reliability.
Responsibilities also include mentoring less experienced engineers, contributing to technical documentation, and participating in continuous improvement of development practices and standards.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Java and core programming concepts, with proven experience in object-oriented Software Development.Hands-on experience building and maintaining Microservices architectures, including integration, scalability, and resilience considerations.Practical expertise with the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) for developing robust backend services.Ability to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade applications using modern development practices and tools.Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and version control systems (e.g., Git).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud or on-premise deployment environments.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site, collaborative team setting.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Good communication skills in English and local languages, and experience in mentoring or leading technical initiatives is an advantage.
