Senior Full Stack Developer Position Overview Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join its team supporting the digitization of manufacturing operations across it's global business. The team develops cloud-based applications and connected systems used within manufacturing environments to improve operational performance, quality inspection, production-line visibility, uptime, and overall factory efficiency. This is a broad full-stack application development position rather than a controls or robotics programming role. The successful candidate will be a well-rounded developer capable of working across front-end, back-end, cloud, data integration, DevOps, and deployment activities. The team is looking for developers who can take ownership of applications throughout the product lifecycle and become increasingly independent in managing the products they support. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience for the Full Stack Developer position. Core Technical Requirements The successful candidate should bring broad technology experience across several areas, including: Full-stack application development.Cloud architecture and cloud-native application development.React.js.TypeScript.Node.js.API development.HTML and CSS.REST-based service-oriented architecture and microservices.Relational and NoSQL databases.Data integrations.Cloud services and cloud migrations.Containers and container lifecycle management.DevOps practices.CI/CD.Serverless technologies.Monitoring and management.Security and networking concepts.Storage and analytics technologies.The team uses a broad technical environment, including:Front end: React and TypeScript.Back end: Node.js, Python, .NET/C#.Cloud: Primarily AWS, with Azure also used.Data: Environment is moving toward Databricks. The exact programming language is less important than having strong software development fundamentals and the ability to work across different technologies. Preferred Experience The following would be considered advantageous: Databricks.MQTT.Kafka.Industrial IoT / Industry 4.0 environments.Event-driven architectures.Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID.OAuth 2.0.AWS.Microsoft Azure.GCP.Private cloud technologies.Infrastructure-as-a-Service.Platform-as-a-Service.Software-as-a-Service.Function-as-a-Service.Multiple programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, Python, C++, and Java.Cloud Shared Responsibility Model.Manufacturing technology environments.Direct robotics or controls programming experience is not required. Key Responsibilities The Full Stack Developer will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and support of connected applications used within our client's manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include: Develop software applications supporting IoT-enabled manufacturing operations.Build applications supporting areas such as production monitoring, uptime, quality inspection, and factory digitization.Design, code, document, and unit test cloud-based applications and features.Develop front-end, back-end, and API-based functionality.Build and maintain integrations with internal and external data sources.Recommend appropriate cloud services for technical requirements.Participate in application architecture and design decisions.Develop secure, reliable, scalable applications.Support cloud-based and containerized application environments.Work within Product, DevOps, and Agile delivery practices.Participate in short development sprints and Agile ceremonies.Use source control and collaboration tools such as GitHub and Confluence.Troubleshoot issues arising during testing and production.Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement.Support code management strategies and reusable development components.Work with engagement leaders and program managers to understand user stories and success criteria.Collaborate with client users, developers, data scientists, product managers, project managers, and other stakeholders.Present developed products and solutions to stakeholders.Make sound technical decisions in response to business challenges.Support and maintain tools, processes, and operating structures.Provide technical architecture and design guidance to development teams.Mentor less-experienced team members where appropriate.Maintain compliance with our client's policies, procedures, and ethical business standards.
