Senior Software Engineer - Node.js

At the heart of what we build is ARC Suite, our intelligent RFID/IoT software platform. It powers our Warehousing, Retail, and Asset Management solutions, and is evolving with AI-driven RFID capabilities to solve real operational challenges for our customers. To strengthen our Development Team, we’re looking for a Senior Software Developer who combines deep technical expertise in Node.js, AWS, and infrastructure-as-code (CDK) with the ability to act as a trusted Technical Lead for our platform and our clients. What will you do? As a Senior Software Developer, you’re part of a Market Portfolio Delivery team: a cross-functional team that builds ARC Suite and delivers it to customers. You report to the Head of Solution Portfolio, turn business and system requirements into scalable, secure software, and guide other developers as they grow. You’re a key contributor to our product and technology strategy, and a technical point of contact our clients can rely on. Product & Platform • Build and evolve ARC Suite — our RFID/IoT software platform — and own one of its product modules, driving its roadmap and quality. • Balance product-led development — platform roadmap, reusability, quality — with solution delivery: turning platform capabilities into working customer solutions. Technology & Architecture • Design and build scalable, cloud-based solutions using AWS and TypeScript/Node.js. • Make pragmatic architecture decisions for the platform and keep documentation clear and up to date. Ownership & Delivery • Pair with a Product Owner as Technical Lead, owning the technical roadmap and quality of one of ARC Suite’s product modules. • Act as technical lead on customer projects, taking them from initial challenge through to a working solution built on ARC Suite. • Work alongside customers and consultants to translate business processes into clear technical requirements, and spot opportunities to automate and connect systems. Team & Innovation • Guide other Software Developers — internal and external — on technical and architectural decisions: real influence across the team, without the overhead of formal people management. • Mentor junior team members as they grow into the role. • Champion AI-assisted development and new tooling to keep our technology stack sharp. What we expect from you • Several years of hands-on experience as a software developer, with proven seniority in designing and building production systems. • Strong expertise in Node.js, and solid experience with AWS and AWS CDK for infrastructureas-code. • A proven track record of building products from MVP to scale — turning early ideas into robust, production-grade systems. • Comfortable being customer-facing — you can engage directly with clients, align on requirements, and explain technical choices in clear, non-technical terms. • Experience providing technical guidance to other developers and driving code quality through reviews and best practices. • Affinity with, or interest in, RFID, IoT, or Auto-ID technologies is a plus. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business stakeholders. • Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
