In this role, you will design, develop, configure, and test application services, APIs, integrations, and dashboard components for a banking transformation programme. You will implement business rules, Finacle core banking integrations, reconciliation workflows, and reporting services, as well as UI enhancements across modern web platforms. You will work in an Agile delivery environment, leveraging GitHub Copilot and AI engineering frameworks to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity. This role also includes active participation in SIT/UAT support, defect resolution, and deployment activities. Key Responsibilities Development & Engineering Design, develop, configure, and test application services, APIs, and integration components using .NET 8 / .NET Core and C#.Build and maintain microservices, Web APIs, and event-driven integrations using Kafka.Implement business rules, validation logic, and configurable workflow components.Develop dashboard components and UI enhancements using React.js (with Node.js tooling where applicable).Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following defined engineering standards. Core Banking & Reconciliation Implement and maintain Finacle integrations — API-based and file-based interfaces with the core banking system.Build and enhance reconciliation workflows, including matching rules, exception handling, and break resolution.Develop reporting services for operational, regulatory, and business stakeholders. Quality, Testing & DevOps Write comprehensive unit tests (and integration tests) to ensure code quality and regression safety.Work with Azure DevOps for work item management, code reviews (pull requests), and pipeline configuration.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployment using Docker.Support SIT and UAT phases — triage defects, provide fixes, and assist business testers.Participate in release and deployment activities, including production support where required. AI-Assisted Engineering Leverage GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted coding, test generation, and refactoring.Apply AI engineering frameworks and internal accelerators to boost productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.Share AI-assisted development practices and lessons learned with the team. Agile Delivery Participate actively in Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, testers, and product owners.Provide accurate effort estimates, progress updates, and risk flags to the delivery lead. Required Skills & Experience 4–8 years of professional software development experience.Primary stack: .NET Core / .NET 8, C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and microservices architecture.Solid SQL skills — query optimisation, stored procedures, and schema design (SQL Server or similar).Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (or comparable messaging/streaming platforms).Secondary stack: React.js and Node.js — building UI components, dashboards, and supporting services.Strong unit testing discipline (xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest) and familiarity with mocking frameworks.Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools, and willingness to embed them in daily workflows.Proficiency with Azure DevOps — repos, boards, pipelines, and pull request workflows.Working knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and containerised application delivery.Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) within distributed, multi-team programmes.Prior exposure to SIT/UAT support, defect resolution, and production deployment activities.Professional fluency in English (written and verbal). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Finacle (Infosys core banking) or other core banking platforms.Background in banking, payments, or financial reconciliation domains.Familiarity with Azure cloud services (App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Event Hubs).Knowledge of AI engineering frameworks, prompt engineering, or LLM-based tooling.Experience with front-end build tooling, TypeScript, and modern React patterns.Microsoft certifications (AZ-204, Azure Developer Associate) are a plus. Contract & Working Model Contract Type: B2B (self-employed invoicing), short-term engagement of 6–9 months.Working Model: Fully remote — work from anywhere within Poland.Base Location: Poland — candidates must be registered for B2B activity in Poland.Collaboration: Nearshore delivery with international client teams; standard Central European Time (CET) working hours apply.Availability to start within 2–4 weeks of offer is preferred.
