About The Job Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Design the future of EV charging You are an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys turning ideas into reliable, production-ready products. You like working closely with hardware engineers, solving complex technical challenges, and seeing your designs make a real-world impact. At Siemens eMobility, you'll help develop next-generation EV charging solutions that support the transition to sustainable transportation. From concept design to industrialization, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality products used worldwide. What You'll Do Design mechanical components, assemblies, and charger enclosures.Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation.Support thermal management and cooling concepts for power electronics.Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and certification activities.Collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, quality, compliance, and supplier teams.Solve technical issues throughout the product lifecycle. Required What You'll Bring BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.5+ years of mechanical product development experience.Strong CAD skills (Siemens NX preferred).Experience with sheet metal, plastics, castings, and assemblies.Solid knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, materials, and DFM/DFA.Experience working in multidisciplinary hardware development teams.Fluent in English. Nice to Have Experience with EV charging, power electronics, or industrial equipment.Thermal design and CFD experience.Teamcenter or PLM experience.Knowledge of CE, IP-rating, and product compliance requirements.
