We are looking for a skilled and automation-focused DevOps Engineer | Release Engineer to improve software delivery, deployment automation, infrastructure reliability, and release management.
The ideal candidate will work closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams to build efficient CI/CD pipelines and ensure stable, reliable, and repeatable software releases.
🎯 Key Responsibilities• Design, implement, and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines for application development and deployment.
• Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes across development, staging, and production environments.
• Manage and improve software release processes, schedules, versioning, and deployment workflows.
• Coordinate application releases with development, QA, product, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Maintain source-code repositories, branching strategies, merge workflows, and release branches.
• Monitor deployment pipelines and troubleshoot build, integration, and deployment failures.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code to automate and standardize infrastructure provisioning.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and deployment environments across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Develop and maintain automated scripts and tools using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Configure and maintain containerized application environments using Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions for applications and infrastructure.
• Investigate production incidents, deployment failures, performance issues, and infrastructure problems.
• Support rollback, recovery, and release remediation activities when deployment issues occur.
• Establish deployment standards, release checklists, environment controls, and operational procedures.
• Manage configuration files, environment variables, secrets, and deployment parameters securely.
• Work with security teams to integrate security controls and vulnerability checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement automated testing and quality gates within software delivery pipelines.
• Optimize build and deployment pipelines to improve release speed, reliability, and efficiency.
• Maintain deployment documentation, release notes, technical procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Coordinate production release windows and communicate deployment status to relevant stakeholders.
• Support blue-green, rolling, canary, or other controlled deployment strategies where appropriate.
• Monitor system health following releases and verify application stability and performance.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-release reviews.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks and reduce manual intervention.
• Continuously evaluate DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices to improve software delivery capabilities.
✅ Requirements• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in DevOps, release engineering, build engineering, systems engineering, cloud operations, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and release management processes.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Git and modern source-control practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation is an advantage.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Understanding of Linux and Windows server environments.
• Knowledge of networking, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, and common infrastructure concepts.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of application security, secrets management, access control, and vulnerability management.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure during production releases and incidents.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple releases and priorities.
• Strong understanding of automation, reliability, scalability, and deployment best practices.
• DevOps, cloud, Kubernetes, or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
