The Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with at least 8+ years of professional software development experience to take ownership of complex technical challenges, drive architectural decisions, and mentor the broader team. You will be a key player in the core development team responsible for expanding, maintaining, and hardening our main cybersecurity platform. Expect to heavily influence system design, lead security engineering efforts, manage distributed components, and automate our infrastructure environments. What You’ll Do Architect & Scale: Design, build, and optimize complex backend systems using Python web frameworks (Django/Flask).Hardening & Security: Write security-first code, protect web applications against vulnerabilities, and lead code reviews with a strict defense-in-depth mindset.Advanced API & System Design: Architect, build, and maintain robust REST APIs and distributed system components for internal and external integrations.System Operations & Automation: Manage Linux environments directly, write complex Ansible playbooks, and ensure highly reliable deployment of application services.Lead & Collaborate: Drive technical architecture conversations, guide mid-level engineers, and communicate fluidly in English across technical and non-technical topics. What We’re Looking For Must-Haves: 8+ Years of Experience: Extensive background as a software developer with the ability to own architecture end-to-end, foresee scaling bottlenecks, and deliver reliable systems without supervision.Python Mastery: Expert-level command of Python, its best practices, internal mechanics, and standard libraries.Web Security Focus: Deep experience building web applications in Django or Flask with a rigorous emphasis on security best practices.Distributed Systems: Proven exposure to distributed application architectures, microservices concepts, and message queues.API Design: Strong track record of architecting clean, maintainable, and highly scalable APIs.Automation & Ansible: Solid experience using Ansible for configuration management, deployments, or infrastructure setup.Linux Terminal Comfort: Advanced CLI skills - you feel completely at home navigating, troubleshooting, and scripting directly in Linux environments.Proficient English: Clear, fluent communication in both technical writing/docs and daily conversations. Nice-to-Haves: Programming Languages: Experience or strong interest in Rust or Go for building high-performance or systems-level components.Microservices: Practical experience designing, building, or breaking down architectures into microservices.DevOps & IaaC: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and modern CI/CD pipelines.SPA Web Stack: Familiarity with modern frontend ecosystems (Single Page Applications like React, Vue, or Angular) and how backend services securely integrate with them.
