As a QA Engineer within our Digital Product Innovation team, you'll help bring innovative customer experiences to life in the Albert Heijn app.
You'll play a key role in ensuring new mobile features deliver a seamless and reliable experience across iOS and Android.

This Is How You Will Reinvent Food Retail.
Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing for new innovation features within the Albert Heijn app across iOS and Android devices.Translate requirements and acceptance criteria into effective test scenarios, proactively identify defects, and document findings in a clear and reproducible manner.Investigate issues beyond the user interface by analyzing application logs, API requests and responses, status codes, and payloads to help pinpoint root causes.Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders from the refinement stage onward, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the development process rather than treated as a final step.Act as a quality advocate within the team, contributing to discussions that improve product reliability, usability, and customer experience.Support the delivery of innovative customer-facing features by providing timely feedback and helping teams make informed release decisions.

From Steijn, our AI-powered assistant, to innovations such as Laatste Kans Koopjes, we're constantly exploring new ways to improve the customer experience within the Albert Heijn app.
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of frontend and backend developers and a Senior QA Engineer.
In this role, you'll primarily focus on mobile testing and work closely with frontend engineers to ensure a seamless and reliable experience across iOS and Android.
Our teams work in a hybrid way: both from home as well as in the office.

The recipe for maximum impact.
Experience in software testing, with a strong foundation in manual testing;Hands-on experience testing mobile applications on iOS and/or Android;Strong knowledge of core testing methodologies, including writing and executing test cases based on acceptance criteria, reporting defects in Jira, and retesting and performing regression testing before release;A working understanding of client-server architecture and REST APIs, with the ability to analyse network traffic using tools such as Proxyman;A big bonus if you have experience with Postman, mobile test automation tools such as Appium, or CI/CD concepts;You communicate findings clearly and proactively build and share product knowledge;You enjoy teamwork and making things happen in an Agile environment;You're tech savvy, proactive, and have a strong passion for technology.
