Role Description
The Controls Engineer will design, develop, and implement control systems that integrate AI- and IoT-enabled solutions with existing cooling and building management infrastructure.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Muscat, where the individual will be responsible for configuring, testing, and commissioning control hardware and software, as well as monitoring system performance and reliability.
Daily activities include diagnosing and resolving control-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine system architectures, and supporting deployment of new features in live environments.
The role also involves creating technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards, and providing ongoing support and optimization for installed systems.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing hardware and software faults, analyzing data logs, and implementing corrective actions with minimal system downtime.Candidates should possess Motion Control and Robotics skills, including familiarity with actuators, drives, controllers, and automation of mechanical systems where applicable.Additional beneficial qualifications include experience with PLCs, SCADA or DCS systems, IoT platforms, and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, MQTT).Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.Prior experience in HVAC, building energy management, or CleanTech projects is highly beneficial.
