About The Role As a Software Developer at Starapple, you will become an integral part of a small, dedicated development team working on bespoke WordPress solutions for high-traffic environments. The role involves participating in two-week Scrum sprints, where you will collaborate closely with colleagues to address diverse client requests. Given the company's size, you'll quickly assume significant responsibility, allowing you to influence project direction and develop innovative, sustainable solutions. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of relevant PHP development experience.Extensive knowledge of WordPress, including custom plugin development.Experience with unit testing, design patterns, and adherence to coding standards.Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks.Familiarity with Symfony framework is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, efficient code.Excellent communication skills in Dutch or English. Responsibilities Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes tailored to high-traffic environments.Participate actively in Scrum processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.Design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions that meet client requirements.Write clean, well-documented code following industry standards.Conduct unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability.Collaborate with team members to brainstorm innovative solutions and improve development processes.Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team and projects.
