Staff Software Engineer (Distributed Systems) | Fully Remote | Up To $320k + Equity

Software Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a high growth Series C data infrastructure company that is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to own their core distributed systems that move and serve customer data at extreme scale. As a successful Staff Software Engineer you'll have previous experience architecting and building large scale systems capable of processing hundreds of millions of rows and tens of thousands of events per minute or systems of comparable complexity from scratch. Key Skills: Experience as Staff Engineer with ownership of a major systemDeep, first-principles system design experienceExperience designing for high QPS, low-latency systemsBuilt event collection or data streaming services (message queues, Kafka) that power critical systemsBuilt backend / distributed systems 0-to-1, then scaled them through multiple orders of magnitude - e.g. engines moving terabytes of data per day Day to day you'll be working close to the infrastructure layer using Go and TypeScript, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS (SQS, RDS Postgres, DynamoDB, MSK) to build and scale the distributed systems that move and process enormous volumes of data. This is a fully remote role, open to Staff Software Engineers based in the US or Canada, with a base salary of $180,000 - $320,000 + Equity + Benefits.
