About the Role: WelcomeHome is looking for Senior Ruby on Rails Engineers excited about building user-friendly software solutions. This role is fully remote (based in the U.S.), will report to our VP of Engineering (based in Las Vegas), and play an integral role in product development and have the opportunity to impact several areas of the business. Tech Stack Backend: Ruby on Rails 8 / Ruby 3.3 (currently upgrading to Ruby 4)Frontend: Haml, Stimulus, minimal React (where it earns its place)Testing: Minitest + Capybara, TDD throughoutData/Async: PostgreSQL, Redis, SidekiqInfrastructure: AWS (Aurora, S3, EC2) via Cloud66AI: Pi, Codex, and Claude Code used in the daily dev workflow A great candidate might have: Deep experience with Ruby on Rails5+ years software engineering experiencePassion for building high quality software focused on the user experienceAbility to take ownership and work well with othersDemonstrated ability to work independently to problem solve and offer solutionsExperience using Claude Code (or comparable AI tools) as part of your daily development workflowPrior experience in a growth stage company or start-up What You'll Get WelcomeHome values all of its employees and strives to provide a competitive compensation package.
