In this role, you will help design and build the microservices layer that connects a blockchain platform with core enterprise systems. You will work on high-impact services supporting transaction orchestration, reconciliation, event processing, and integration between on-chain and off-chain environments. The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering experience, a solid understanding of distributed systems, and exposure to banking, payments, digital assets, or blockchain technologies. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement APIs and microservices that integrate on-chain and off-chain systems.Build services for transaction orchestration, settlement, reconciliation, and event processing.Develop secure, scalable, and resilient backend services using Java and modern cloud-native technologies.Design and implement event-driven solutions using platforms such as Kafka or Google Pub/Sub.Integrate blockchain and digital asset platforms with core banking and enterprise systems.Apply microservices and API design best practices, including versioning, security, observability, and performance optimization.Collaborate with architects, product managers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, automated testing, and continuous improvement of development practices.Troubleshoot production issues and support the reliability, scalability, and resilience of the services layer.Ensure solutions align with banking, security, compliance, and enterprise technology standards. Required Qualifications Strong backend software development experience.Strong proficiency in Java and experience developing enterprise-grade applications.Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or Google Pub/Sub.Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and service-to-service integration.Cloud-native development experience; Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience is preferred.Experience with software development best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and observability.Strong understanding of scalability, resilience, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with banking or other financial services clients.Experience in payments, transaction processing, settlement, or reconciliation systems.Experience with digital assets, cryptocurrency, blockchain, or distributed ledger technology.Experience with Web3 or blockchain application development.Experience with Node.js, Python, or Go in addition to Java.Familiarity with smart contracts, wallets, tokenization, or on-chain transaction workflows.Knowledge of financial services security, risk, and regulatory considerations.
