Lead Backend Developer - Node.js

Job Title: Backend Lead (Onsite) Location: Calgary, AB Key Responsibilities: Role Purpose: Lead backend service development and define standards for secure, scalable application services. Experience: 10–15+ years in backend development with 3+ years leading backend or platform teams. Core Responsibilities: • Define backend architecture, API standards, and service design patterns. • Lead development of scalable and secure backend services. • Review implementations to ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability. • Mentor backend engineers and guide technical problem solving. • Collaborate with frontend, integration, and operations teams. Required Skills: • Strong experience with Node.js based backend services and REST APIs. • Experience designing cloud native backend systems on AWS. • Strong experience in backend technologies, API design, and system integration. • Proven technical leadership and mentoring skills.
