You will work alongside an experienced team to help build and enhance digital products, from backend services and APIs through to user-facing features. This is a great opportunity for someone who has developed technical skills through university, personal projects, internships or hackathons and wants hands-on experience building products in a commercial environment. What you’ll be doing You May Be Involved In Building and enhancing software product features. Developing backend services and API endpoints. Supporting front-end development and user interface updates. Integrating systems, services and data sources. Writing clean, maintainable and well-documented code. Troubleshooting and resolving software issues. Working with the team to turn product requirements into technical solutions. Testing and refining new functionality before release. Exploring how AI tools can support software development and product functionality. What we’re looking for You may currently be studying or have recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline. Ideally, You Will Have A foundation in software development and programming. Experience with one or more commonly used programming languages. Some understanding of backend development, APIs and web applications. Exposure to front-end development frameworks or technologies. Experience building software through university assignments, personal projects,hackathons or internships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. An interest in AI-enabled products and modern software development practices. The ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively as part of a team. Previous professional software engineering experience is not required. We are more interested in your technical foundations, curiosity and examples of things you have built. Commitment: Approximately 15+ hours per week Initial engagement: 4–8 week project sprint, with potential for further work Indicative commencement: September/October Before we jump into the responsibilities of the role.
