Backend Developer (Go)

Backend Developer (Go) Hybrid (Floriana, Malta) / Remote within Europe €50,000-€55,000 gross per annum depending on experience The role: Arritech is looking for a Mid-Level Backend Developer to join our Engineering team and work on QgenOnline, our KYC/KYB/AML compliance platform. Your initial focus will be migrating functionality from our existing C# product, QCheck, into our Go-based QgenOnline platform, before moving into the continued development of the product. You’ll be responsible for: Migrating and reverse-engineering existing QCheck functionalityBuilding and maintaining Go backend services and REST APIsPlanning data migration and supporting the cutover and decommissioning of QCheckIntegrating third-party verification, screening and payment providersWriting automated tests and participating in code reviewsWorking with Product and QA to deliver and troubleshoot features What we’re looking for 3–5 years’ professional backend development experienceStrong hands-on experience with GoExperience with REST APIs, databases and migrationsExperience with Git, CI/CD, Docker and cloud environmentsAutomated testing experienceAbility to read and understand C#/.NET code (advanced C# experience is not required)A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experienceComfortable using AI-assisted development tools and working with ambiguity Desirable: Experience with message queues, observability tooling, identity/screening/payments APIs, or a regtech/fintech background.
