Platform Engineer (DevOps & Kubernetes)

We're working with a highly successful technology-driven organisation seeking a Senior Platform & DevOps Engineer to join a small, high-impact engineering team responsible for building and evolving cloud platforms that power critical applications. This isn't a traditional "keep the lights on" infrastructure role. You'll join a collaborative team of seven engineers where platform engineering, DevOps, automation and cloud infrastructure come together. The environment is built around innovation, ownership and engineering excellence, giving you the freedom to challenge existing approaches, introduce new ideas and directly influence technical direction. The team already has a handful of engineers who thrive on autonomy and enjoy solving complex problems through automation, modern platform engineering practices and continuous improvement. They're looking for a third engineer with a similar mindset who wants to help shape what's next. This role would suit someone who is already a strong engineer but still wants to learn, grow and broaden their expertise across platform engineering, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code. What You'll Be Doing Designing, building and operating cloud infrastructure in Microsoft AzureDeveloping and improving CI/CD capabilities and deployment automationWorking extensively with Kubernetes and container-based platformsBuilding reusable Infrastructure as Code solutions using TerraformDriving platform standardisation, automation and engineering best practiceImproving observability, monitoring and operational excellenceCollaborating closely with software engineers, architects and technology stakeholdersEvaluating and introducing new tools, technologies and approaches where they add valueTaking ownership of complex technical challenges from design through to delivery We're keen to speak with engineers who combine both Platform Engineering and DevOps experience. A lot of applicants have strong platform backgrounds but limited DevOps exposure. For this role, both areas are important.
