Unity’s Adaptive Performance team builds technology that helps developers create faster, more consistent, and more efficient applications across devices and platforms. Using runtime feedback, our systems help maintain stable frame rates, respond to thermal constraints, and identify opportunities for performance improvements. We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who enjoys solving complex performance challenges. You will work across Unity, native platform code, graphics, and device-specific technologies to shape the next generation of Adaptive Performance. What you’ll be doing Investigate CPU, GPU, memory, thermal, and runtime performance issues across Unity and supported platformsDesign and develop Adaptive Performance features that improve runtime stability, efficiency, and developer insightsProfile applications and engine workloads to identify bottlenecks and turn performance data into actionable solutionsCollaborate with Unity teams, platform holders, hardware partners, OEMs, and customersContribute to technical design, implementation, testing, code reviews, mentoring, and AI-assisted performance workflows What we’re looking for Strong software development experience with C# and C++, including large and unfamiliar codebasesDeep understanding of CPU, GPU, memory, threading, and managed and native runtime performanceHands-on experience with profiling and diagnostic tools, such as Unity Profiler, Xcode Instruments, Perfetto, or equivalentStrong debugging and analytical skills, with the ability to own complex and technically ambiguous problemsEffective communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to mentor others and share technical knowledge You might also have Experience with graphics or hardware profiling tools, such as RenderDoc, Snapdragon Profiler, or Arm toolingExperience profiling and optimizing real-time applications across Android, iOS, desktop, console, or webKnowledge of performance-analysis tools, runtime feedback systems, telemetry, machine learning, or AI-driven optimization Base Salary Range: We determine the base salary range for this role based on your primary work location: Zone A: kr639,400 - kr959,200 DKK gross Zone A: €54,200 - €81,400 EUR gross This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
