Forward Deployed Engineer - AI Canberra | Permanent | Hybrid We’re working with a leading global consulting organisation building a high-performing AI engineering team in Australia. They’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with strategic clients, turning complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions. Work on real-world AI deployments using cutting-edge Anthropic technologies. Please note you must be an Australian citizen to be considered for this role. The Role You’ll sit at the intersection of AI engineering, software development, solution architecture and client delivery. You Could Be Building AI/LLM applications and agentic workflows Designing integrations, data pipelines and cloud architectures Rapidly prototyping and taking solutions into production Providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers Working directly with senior client stakeholders to shape solutions About You Strong experience with Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript or Go Experience building AI/LLM applications in production would be nice but complusory Cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP Excellent client-facing communication skills You don't need to have been an FDE before — Senior Software Engineers, AI Engineers, Solutions Architects and AI Consultants with the right background are all relevant.
