GCS Malta is currently representing a leading Financial Services firm on the look out for a Software Engineer to join their business. Your main responsibilities will include: Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and integrations.Developing and supporting solutions using Python, .NET, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.Analysing technical requirements and translating them into efficient, maintainable code.Supporting the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.Investigating and resolving application incidents, defects, and performance issues in a timely manner.Collaborating with business analysts, project managers, infrastructure teams, and external suppliers to deliver technology initiatives.Preparing and maintaining clear technical documentation for software solutions and processes.Ensuring that all development work adheres to established coding, security, data protection, and quality standards.Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, process optimisation, and modernisation of existing applications.Keeping abreast of relevant technologies, development practices, and regulatory requirements affecting the banking sector.
