What does the team work on?The Roku Enterprise Engineering team is at the forefront of building a robust, integrated, and scalable platform that powers critical business processes across the organisation. As a cornerstone of Roku's corporate strategy, this team is instrumental in automating workflows across all Business Systems, including Supply Chain, Finance, Sales Operations, and Human Resources. What is the role?Roku is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Engineering team, focused on designing, building, and deploying scalable web applications and services that power critical business processes. In this role, you will serve as a platform services developer, building innovative solutions using modern software frameworks and paradigms across a multi-tier, distributed architecture. You will drive architecture discussions, take ownership of new projects, and deliver high-quality software within tight timelines. You will partner closely with security, compliance, and cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet audit, security, and compliance requirements. This role requires a self-driven problem solver with a strong background in building large-scale software platforms, microservices, and cloud-based systems. You will also contribute to the continual improvement of engineering tools, cloud-based technologies, and development processes, playing an integral role in shaping the team's technical direction. How will I use AI at Roku?At Roku, AI agents do most of the keystroke-level coding. Engineers act as the technical leads for those agents — setting architecture, reviewing output, and ensuring everything meets Roku's quality bar. If you've already shipped features where an AI agent wrote the initial code and you steered it to production, or you've built fluency across the agentic engineering toolchain — coding harnesses like Claude Code or Cursor, MCP servers, custom skills, or agent frameworks. And you can describe a clear, repeatable workflow: how you prompt, how you scope tasks, how you drive an agent, verify its output, and ramp on an unfamiliar codebase with an agent helping you.
