Job Description Summary As an Engineer on the HGP DLE Team, you will be an active contributor to the following objectives: The Lean Product Technology team is the face of Turbine Module engineering to supply chain. This team leads second source supplier qualifications, dispositioning deviant hardware, supporting lean activities, cost reduction, scrap reduction and pre-emptive scrap and non-conformance reductions as well. The team is critical to enabling fulfillment for our customers. This job involves working as a hands-on engineer supporting hardware quality and fulfillment. The Hot Gas Path engineer will interface closely with the component design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and the Global Supply Chain initiatives team to ensure GE delivers quality hardware that meets the needs of our service centers and customers. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Partner with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and collaborate cross-functionally to continuously drive improvements and disposition deviant hardware quickly, while maintaining optimal quality for our customersSupport hardware qualifications for new processes, process changes, new equipmentApply knowledge of HGP design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall function of part, reduce cost and add valueParticipate in Supply Chain Kaizens & Lean Action WorkoutsSupport Design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent EngineeringProactive Quality engagement for Defect reduction / process improvementsSupport Qualification guidelines, specifications and top manufacturing issuesTechnology development and qualification of special processes โ€“ castings, coating, hole-drilling, etc.Cultivate teamwork, positive working environment, and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed Required Qualifications This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical ComponentProven technical and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneouslyMSc in EngineeringBasic experience with commercial CAD/CAE package required (ANSYS, NX)General knowledge of the GT engine architecture is requiredMust be independent engineer that executes with minimum guidanceFluent level of written and spoken English language Desired Characteristics Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsStrong technical attitude, including applicable engineering tools and systemDemonstrated independent decision making abilityDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsDemonstrated initiative in improving processesWillingness to share knowledge effectivelyAn attitude that builds the team's image, promoting its technical capabilitiesDemonstrated problem solving skills and passion for learningDemonstrated time management skills Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: No
