About this role:
The Marketing Web Developer (Webflow) owns the end-to-end build, maintenance and structure of the GoodHabitz website in Webflow.
This role cares as much about what's under the hood as what's on screen โ building clean, well-structured pages that load fast and stay healthy over time.
We're looking for someone who has recent hands-on experience with building in Webflow and a background in web development with thorough understanding of front-end best practices.
You'll apply that foundation to keep the project clean, fast and maintainable, using custom JavaScript and CSS to extend the platform where needed.
This role sits within the marketing department, not with product / engineering.
You'll work alongside the Website Platform Owner, Digital Experience Specialist and the wider digital experience team, so you should be comfortable with campaign deadlines, marketing briefs and stakeholders who think in terms of conversions and content.
This is a hybrid role based at our Eindhoven HQ, typically 2 days per week in the office.
Requirements
Role responsibilities:
Own the Webflow build.
Take end-to-end ownership of the build, maintenance and site structure, in alignment with the Website Platform Owner who holds overall responsibility for site performanceKeep the project clean.
Maintain a tidy Webflow project, caring about structure, class naming and component choices, and how they affect performance and long-term maintainability.
Write DRY, maintainable and scalable code, and leverage existing components and utilities rather than introducing unnecessary new codeBring pages to life.
Extend Webflow with custom JavaScript/CSS for interactions, animations and functionality beyond native featuresMonitor performance.
Track site speed and technical SEO, applying performance best practices from the start and addressing issues as they arise.
Practical knowledge of Core Web Vitals and how to optimize for them.
Build for accessibility.
Keep WCAG standards in mind so the site is usable for everyoneUse AI and automation.
Use tools like Claude and Make.com to speed up build, QA and maintenance work.
Ship code you can fully explain and stand behind, not AI-generated code you don't understand.
Take ownership of quality.
Proactively flag technical debt, bugs and issues rather than waiting for directionConsider how development and design choices affect crawlability, including for AI crawlers, and advocate for performance in design discussions, with the Website Platform Owner available to escalate concerns or handle stakeholder pushback when neededStay current with Webflow.
Keep up with platform updates and new features.
Test and pilot new Webflow capabilities as they release.
This role is for you if you have:
5+ years of web development experience, with at least 1-2 years of recent hands-on production experience in WebflowStrong custom JavaScript and CSS skills โ comfortable building beyond Webflow's native toolset, grounded in core engineering fundamentals Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Astro), TypeScript and utility-first CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind)Familiarity with structured CSS architecture frameworks (e.g., Client-First) and scalable class namingStrong grasp of HTML5 semantic markup, structuring content to be meaningful to both browsers and crawlers Experience with multilingual website builds and how localization affects CMS structure and page architecture Understanding of technical SEO/AEO and how build choices affect crawlability and search performance Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standardsExperience with animation libraries (e.g.
GSAP) for smooth, performant motionExperience working directly from marketing briefs, not just specs from a lead developerExperience or clear motivation to work in a marketing-driven environment โ understanding that priorities, timelines and success metrics look different from product engineeringFigma fluency, able to work from design files and translate them into pixel-accurate buildsActive interest in the Webflow platform roadmap and a habit of keeping up with new featuresA clear, intentional approach to integrating AI tools into your daily workflow, backed by sound judgment and code accountability
If you meet most of these, we'd still love to talk.
We know this combination is rare.
This role is not for you if:
You'd rather execute tickets than set technical standards.
This role means owning quality and direction, not waiting for directionYou prefer waiting to be told about issues rather than proactively flagging technical debt and bugsYou're looking for a purely visual design role.
This one requires equal care for what's under the hood: structure, performance and maintainabilityYou're a developer who has never worked in a visual CMS builder and would prefer to keep coding in an editor full-time.
The majority of this role is hands-on in WebflowYou're a no-code or low-code specialist without a solid web development foundationYou'd rather work from fixed specs than engage directly with marketing stakeholders and briefs โ or you prefer the structure of a product engineering team over the pace and flexibility of a marketing departmentYou'd ship AI-generated code you cannot fully explain and stand behind
