Responsibilities:
Working on projects that are based on PHP;Develop, test, and maintain PHP-based web applications and APIs;Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards;Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions;Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in web development;Work closely with other developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time;Contribute to architectural decisions and technical discussions;Rapid improvement of the e-commerce system and implementation of the latest programming technologies;Programming of new e-commerce system features;Maintenance and enhancement of existing systems.
Requirements:
You write modern PHP (7.4+) day to day and know the newer language features well;Strong back-end and system architecture skills, with the judgement to weigh trade-offs and justify design decisions;Solid understanding of relational database design, query optimization and indexing (MySQL);Working experience with message queues (RabbitMQ), caching (Redis) and search (ElasticSearch), or close equivalents;Experience with PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter or Symfony;Practical experience using AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code or similar) in day-to-day development, with sound judgement on reviewing and validating generated code;Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (PHPUnit or similar);Comfortable with Git, code review, and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to have:
Experience in an Agile/Scrum team;API design experience (REST);Docker usage.
