Description

Our client is an international technology company is developing a global cellular broadband network in space, designed to connect directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices and help eliminate connectivity gaps worldwide. The company is looking for a Telco SRE Engineer to join its Telco Software Development team in Riga. This is a hands-on engineering role within a greenfield environment, focused on building innovative software and infrastructure components for next-generation connectivity. Responsibilities Design and implement GitOps-driven infrastructure on Kubernetes using ArgoCDDevelop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and CloudFormationBuild and optimize automated, auditable CI/CD and GitOps pipelinesManage containerized workloads supporting LTE/5G Core and RAN servicesImplement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and similar toolsAutomate operational processes and reduce manual work through declarative configurationDevelop clean, tested and production-ready infrastructure and softwareTranslate technical specifications and requirements into reliable solutionsCreate infrastructure documentation, runbooks and standard operating proceduresCollaborate closely with network and software engineering teams Requirements 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps/SREStrong experience with Kubernetes and containerizationHands-on experience with GitOps and ArgoCDExperience with AWS, Azure or GCP, ideally AWS/EKSStrong knowledge of Terraform and/or CloudFormationExperience with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitLab CI or Azure PipelinesGood understanding of networking fundamentalsExperience with Python, Bash and/or GoKnowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELKBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceEnglish B2 or above What they offer The opportunity to work on a groundbreaking space and connectivity projectA greenfield engineering environment with a high level of ownershipThe opportunity to work with technologies including Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform and GitOpsExposure to next-generation cellular and telecommunications infrastructureCollaboration with international software, network and engineering teamsHybrid working model in Riga, LatviaFull-time employment
