Python Developer

Python Developer – AWS We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join a growing technology team responsible for building scalable, cloud-native applications and data-driven solutions. This role is ideal for someone with strong Python development experience and extensive hands-on knowledge of AWS. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, from solution design and development through to deployment and production support. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain scalable applications and services using Python.Build and deploy cloud-native solutions within AWS.Develop RESTful APIs, backend services and event-driven applications.Work with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS and SNS.Design and implement serverless and container-based architectures.Write clean, maintainable and well-tested production code.Develop automated unit, integration and performance tests.Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product and DevOps teams.Promote strong engineering standards, documentation and development best practices. Required Experience Strong commercial experience developing production applications using Python.3-5 years experienceExtensive hands-on experience working with AWS.Experience designing and developing APIs and microservices.Strong understanding of serverless and cloud-native architecture.Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Pytest.Experience with Docker and containerised application development.Familiarity with CI/CD tools and modern deployment practices.Understanding of software design principles, security and application performance.Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Desirable Experience Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.Knowledge of Kubernetes or AWS EKS.Experience with data-processing technologies or event-driven systems.Exposure to AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and X-Ray.AWS certification would be beneficial.Experience working within an Agile engineering environment.
