Role Description The WordPress Developer will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites and web applications in alignment with project requirements and best practices. Day-to-day tasks include building and configuring themes and plugins, implementing new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsive layouts. The role also involves collaborating with designers, content teams, and project managers, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining high standards for usability, security, and code quality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu, requiring close coordination with internal stakeholders and timely delivery of assigned tasks. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design.Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development skills relevant to WordPress, such as PHP, MySQL, and familiarity with REST APIs.Candidates should possess Web Design and Web Development skills to translate UI/UX concepts into functional, user-friendly WordPress sites.Candidates should possess experience with WordPress core, theme and plugin development, customization, and performance optimization.Candidates should possess knowledge of version control (e.g., Git), basic SEO principles, and website security best practices.Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively on-site in Kathmandu.Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.Experience with modern build tools, page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery), and familiarity with cloud hosting environments is an added advantage.
