About the role We're seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to champion secure development practices across our organization and reduce security risks throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll join an innovative team, who prioritize excellence, collaboration, and innovation in delivering secure solutions that support business agility and resilience. As our DevSecOps Engineer, you'll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It's meaningful, challenging and exciting work. Day-to-day, you will: Build, integrate and maintain security tools into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous security validationLead and operate our Security Champions network across the organizationCollaborate with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement effective controlsProvide security consultation to projects, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance requirementsIdentify and drive opportunities to improve application security posture leveraging guardrails and automation This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: Experience designing and securing applications in cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)Strong programming skills (Python, Bash, Go) and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation)Deep expertise in application security concepts (IAM, SSL/TLS, WAF, PCI-DSS, OWASP Top 10)Practical experience integrating security into DevOps workflows using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArtifactoryExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business-relevant languageCloud and application security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer) are highly regarded and demonstrate your commitment to continuous learning.
