IOS Software Engineer

We're looking for a remote iOS Software Engineer to join an innovative AI technology company building the next generation of intelligent personal assistants. The iOS Software Engineer will play a critical role in shaping the mobile user experience, ensuring AI interactions feel intuitive, reliable, and seamless. This individual will contribute to a production-grade iOS application where performance, user trust, and product quality are essential to success. iOS Software Engineer responsibilities: Build, enhance, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUIDevelop and integrate AI-powered features through backend APIs and servicesDesign intuitive user experiences for AI interactions, including streaming responses, loading states, retries, and fallback behavioursOptimize application performance, memory utilization, responsiveness, and battery efficiencyCollaborate closely with backend, product, and machine learning teams to deliver innovative AI-driven experiencesCapture user insights and feedback to support ongoing AI evaluation and product enhancementsEnsure application stability, reliability, and high App Store quality standardsImplement and maintain scalable mobile application architectures and engineering best practicesTroubleshoot production issues and lead root-cause analysis to improve platform reliabilityContribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering teamThe successful candidate has: 3+ years of professional iOS development experience using SwiftExperience building and maintaining production-level iOS applicationsStrong knowledge of SwiftUI, async/await, concurrency, and background processingExperience integrating APIs and cloud-based services into mobile applicationsUnderstanding of AI-powered products or experience incorporating AI features into mobile applicationsStrong performance optimization and memory management skillsExperience designing applications that gracefully handle latency, partial failures, and complex user workflowsExposure to CoreML, TensorFlow Lite, or other on-device machine learning technologies is considered an assetExperience with feature flags, remote configuration platforms, or A/B testing frameworks is preferredExcellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environmentDegree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is considered an assetCompensation and benefits: The discussed salary range is $110,000 - $160,000, depending on experienceCandidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be consideredFully remote working arrangement within CanadaOpportunity to work on cutting-edge AI and mobile technologiesCollaborative, high-performing engineering teamProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesFlexible work environment focused on outcomes and innovation Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
