Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Oversee architecture for product lines within a healthcare software solutions provider, balancing long-term technical health with short-term delivery needs. • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across a diverse technology landscape, from desktop systems to cloud-native services. • Drive modernization initiatives, focusing on cloud-native and AI-native architectures, and document architectural decisions, roadmaps, and target states. • Mentor engineers and leads, establish reusable patterns, and actively contribute to the architecture community, principles, and standards. • Integrate AI tooling (agents, skills, workflows) into architectural concepts to maximize their potential within healthcare technology. What You'll Need • Several years of experience as a Software or Solution Architect in large, distributed SaaS or enterprise systems, with proven architectural responsibility. • A strong academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. • Deep technical expertise in modern software architecture patterns (microservices, cloud-native design, security-by-design, eventing) and a broad foundation in C++, Java, Python, and Kubernetes/cloud stacks. • Demonstrated experience effectively applying AI in software engineering, ideally with agentic coding tools and designing AI pipelines. • Fluency in both German and English, excellent communication skills, strong technical credibility, a hands-on mentality, and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
