Role Description This full-time, remote DevOps Engineer – Data Platform role focuses on building and maintaining scalable, reliable infrastructure that supports data-driven applications and services. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code for data pipelines, storage, and compute resources across cloud environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include automating deployments, setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and troubleshooting infrastructure and platform issues. The role also involves collaborating with software developers, data engineers, and system administrators to optimize performance, improve reliability, and enhance security across the data platform. The DevOps Engineer will continuously refine tooling, documentation, and processes to enable efficient operations and smooth delivery of data solutions. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, including experience with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.Candidates should possess Software Development skills, ideally with scripting or programming languages commonly used in DevOps (e.g., Python, Go, or Bash).Candidates should possess Continuous Integration skills, including setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with platforms such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.Candidates should possess System Administration and Linux skills, including experience managing servers, containers, and networking in production environments.Relevant experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response are preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is desirable.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in distributed, cross-functional teams are important.
