Infrastructure Engineer

We're looking for a Mid-Level Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing infrastructure team responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise IT systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern infrastructure technologies, contribute to business-critical projects, and help drive automation and continuous improvement. What You'll Be Doing Manage and maintain enterprise infrastructure across multiple sites and data centres.Monitor, support and optimise critical infrastructure services to maximise availability.Build, configure and maintain virtual machines, Windows Server environments and Active Directory.Administer backup solutions and perform disaster recovery testing.Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across servers, storage, networking and virtualisation platforms.Work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver infrastructure projects.Improve documentation, identify automation opportunities and streamline operational processes.Carry out BAU activities including patching, backups, firewall rule changes, VM provisioning and infrastructure maintenance.Participate in an on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours maintenance windows.What We're Looking For 2+ years' experience in an Infrastructure Engineer or Systems Administrator role.Experience supporting enterprise IT environments.Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Office 365 administration.Experience with VMware and/or Proxmox virtualisation platforms.Good networking knowledge including VPNs, NAT and ACLs.Experience with backup technologies, ideally Veeam.Knowledge of enterprise storage platforms and server hardware.Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of services.Nice to Have Azure cloud experience.Microsoft Intune administration.Cisco or Meraki networking and firewall administration.Linux administration (Ubuntu or Debian).Monitoring platforms such as Grafana or vROps.Infrastructure automation using Terraform or Ansible.ITIL knowledge.Experience working within regulated environments such as PCI.
