The Division The Sports Business Division is central to the Club’s overall aspiration to become a globally recognised sports and entertainment brand, with world-class horse racing at its core. The Division’s overarching focus is to deliver sustainable growth of the Club’s sports business, deepen customer engagement, and contribute to position the Club as a leading global sports and entertainment brand to enable its commitment to social betterment. Its strategy is delivered through three pillars: broadening the fan base and prospecting new customers, growing the sports wagering business, and building the Club’s brand and commercialising its assets. Job Summary Reporting to Senior Trading Manager (Trading and Player Risk), this role is a senior developer role to build and maintain a core component, which is used for assessing player risk and bet value instantaneously, in the new generation of betting system for HKJC. The primary responsibilities of this role include designing and developing an operational intelligence analytics solution using technologies like Solace/ Kafka, C#/ Java, Kubernetes, and MongoDB, while enhancing existing analytics applications. The role also involves supporting real-time applications, delivering customer insights, developing front-end solutions with modern frameworks, and collaborating with UX/UI designers and stakeholders to create functional, user-friendly interfaces. The Job Design, develop, integrate, and support frontend solutions for the data analytics system, ensuring seamless interaction with Solace messaging and backend servicesDevelop, enhance, and maintain frontend components to visualize and interact with real-time data analytics, addressing new or changing requirementsContribute to the design and architecture of a user-friendly interface for the messaging framework, ensuring effective integration with SolaceCollaborate with vendor delivery teams to ensure their contributions align with the frontend design and user experience goalsLiaise with other development teams and stakeholders to build intuitive and functional components that meet user requirements and business needsDevelop and support real-time data analytics features on the new analytics platform, focusing on frontend performance, scalability, and usabilityEnsure compliance with the Responsible Gambling Policy and all relevant legal requirements, integrating appropriate messages and features into frontend applications to align with the Club’s standardsTake on additional duties as assigned by supervisor, contributing to cross-functional initiatives and enhancing frontend systems as part of the overall data pipeline ecosystem About You Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related fieldAt least 3 years of hands-on development experience, with a strong focus on frontend and backend development using modern frameworks and toolsExperience working with Solace messaging systems, including design and developmentOver 5 years of experience in C#/Java development, with expertise in building scalable and high-performance applicationsProven experience in managing offshore development teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelinesDemonstrated ability to work effectively within large, cross-functional development teamsExperience collaborating with vendor delivery teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and seamless integrationKnowledge in C#, Java and/or C++, ASP.NET, JavaScript.Knowledge in Python, R Studio, MSSQL serverKnowledge in Kafka, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Microservice Apply Now!
