Role Description
We are looking for an Intermediate Developer who can independently deliver well-scoped features and bug fixes in a mature Laravel application.
This person should be comfortable maintaining existing systems while helping us refactor a large legacy codebase toward a cleaner, modern architecture.
You’ll collaborate with a small, creative team where your ideas matter.

What we’re looking for
Roughly 5 or more years of professional PHP or Laravel experience, or equivalent practical experienceStrong understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID principlesExperience organizing code into small, focused, reusable classes with clear responsibilitiesPractical experience building responsive and accessible interfaces with the TALL stackExperience maintaining frontend applications built with jQuery and BootstrapAbility to safely modernize legacy code incrementally while preserving existing behaviourFamiliarity with common Laravel patterns, including:Thin controllers and Livewire componentsService and Action classesDTOs and typed data boundariesForm Requests, policies, events, listeners, and jobsEloquent relationships, transactions, and query optimizationExperience creating reusable Blade components using Atomic Design principlesAbility to write focused feature and unit tests with PestExperience debugging queues, scheduled jobs, external integrations, and production issuesUnderstanding of authentication, authorization, validation, tenant scoping, and secure data handlingExperience using AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to investigate problems, implement changes, write tests, and document decisionsAbility to critically review AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and alignment with the project’s architectureStrong written communication and the ability to explain technical decisions and tradeoffs clearly
Nice to have
