Description
We are looking for an Intermediate Backend Engineer for a 1 year contract with high possibility of extension.
Role is fully remote.
What You'll Do
Architect, design, implement, and rigorously test backend APIs, software features, and product infrastructure.Build and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services.Develop RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.Design and develop applications using microservices architecture and distributed systems.Leverage serverless computing, cloud technologies, and distributed platforms to build robust solutions.Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.Utilize AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate software design, development, testing, and optimization.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Develop comprehensive automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability.Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.Research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and testing practices to continuously improve the software development lifecycle.Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products.Participate in Agile/Lean development practices and contribute to continuous improvement.Must-Have Qualifications
6+ years of hands-on software development experience.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.Strong experience building and developing REST APIs for software products.Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and development and related tools and technologies.Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.Experience building scalable, reliable, and secure backend applications.Strong understanding of software development methodologies and SDLC.Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies.Experience working in Agile/Lean development environments.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to navigate conflict, influence technical and project outcomes, and provide constructive feedback.Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on with software development.Nice to Have
