Description

Job description We build consumer products that grow fast. You'll build and maintain the platforms that put them in front of millions of users. In 2026, the Financial Times named Wire Salad one of Europe's fastest-growing companies. We build brands and apps across fitness, skincare, human health, and pet health - products used by real people, every day, across many markets. This is an ownership role, not an execution role. You'll work across our own developed CMS, Strapi, and Shopify, shipping changes from rough idea to reviewed, merged, and live. AI agents will do much of the typing - you're accountable for understanding what ships and being able to explain why it works. No one will be handing you a finished spec - you'll take something vague, investigate it, and own the fix. The problem you're solving: Our storefronts, templates, and integrations are what stand between our products and millions of users, across multiple brands and markets. Your job is to keep them fast, reliable, and easy to build on - and to automate away the repetitive work that slows the team down. What you'll actually do: Build and maintain our storefronts - work across our own developed CMS, Strapi and Shopify: templates, components, landing pages, and the front-end that customers actually see.Ship to production - take changes from rough idea to reviewed, merged and live in our codebase, using AI coding agents to move fast without losing accountability for what ships.Build integrations - connect our platforms to analytics tools, marketing suites and third-party APIs so data flows where it needs to.Automate the mundane - build the internal tooling that kills repetitive work: publishing pipelines, the tooling behind localization, bulk operations. If someone on the team is doing something by hand for the third time, that's your cue.Own problems end to end - take something vague ("our German product pages load slowly") and investigate, diagnose and fix it, rather than waiting for a spec. Requirements: Solid fundamentals in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and an understanding of how APIs and HTTP work - you can read code you didn't write and reason about why it behaves the way it does.Comfortable with version control - you've worked in a shared git repository, branches, pull requests and the occasional merge conflict are familiar territory.AI-first - you already build with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar) and have opinions about where they help and where they don't. Bonus points for working with MCPs.Strong problem-solving instincts - when something breaks, you read the error, check the logs and the data, form a hypothesis and test it. You're comfortable being stuck for a while, and you know when it's time to ask instead of grinding.Fluent English, written and spoken. Bonus points: Things you've built - side projects, automations, scripts, small tools, AI experiments.Shopify experience - Liquid, theme development, or the Shopify APIs.Headless CMS experience - Strapi, Contentful, Sanity or similar.Modern front-end stack - TypeScript, React, Next.js or equivalent.Analytics - understanding of GA4, tag managers or event tracking. An eye for design - you notice when spacing is off and you care enough to fix it.
