About The Role We are seeking a proactive and skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team at GrabJobs. In this role, you will be the sole developer responsible for ongoing support and feature development of a career platform integrated with Workday for a prominent German client. This platform manages over 1,000 open positions, and your expertise will be crucial in ensuring its seamless operation, performance, and continuous enhancement. You will work closely with the client via an Asana board to understand requirements, resolve issues, and propose innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, initiative, and a creative mindset, enabling them to work independently while maintaining alignment with client goals. This position offers full remote flexibility, with a 40-hour workweek, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to a high-impact project in a collaborative environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in full stack web development, with a solid background in PHP, Laravel, WordPress, and JavaScript (ES6+). Proficiency in API integration, especially with SOAP-based enterprise APIs like Workday, is essential. Candidates should have strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vanilla JS. Experience with database management using MySQL, as well as familiarity with Docker, Git, Composer, and CI/CD pipelines, is required. Additionally, candidates should possess experience with unit testing frameworks like PHPUnit and Mockery, along with debugging complex applications. A good understanding of performance optimization, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards is also vital. The ability to work independently, communicate effectively with clients, and think creatively about solutions are key attributes for success in this role. Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will include implementing and optimizing web solutions based on PHP, Laravel, and WordPress, ensuring high-quality code and performance. You will develop and maintain responsive, interactive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks and Tailwind CSS. Integrating external APIs, such as REST and SOAP, and developing server-side logic are critical aspects of your role. Managing Laravel jobs and queues, particularly with API integrations like Workday, will be part of your daily tasks. Conducting unit tests, code reviews, and debugging to maintain code quality and stability will be essential. You will also be responsible for performance optimization of both frontend and backend components, enhancing load times, SEO, and user experience. Collaborating directly with the client to understand requirements, propose solutions, and implement improvements will require strong communication skills and initiative. Additionally, you will stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices to ensure the platform remains robust, scalable, and secure.
