About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer/ Information System Engineer to join our team and support the development, integration, and maintenance of manufacturing and industrial software solutions.
This role is ideal for a professional with strong programming skills, database expertise, and experience integrating software with manufacturing systems and industrial automation technologies.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, and IT teams to develop reliable applications, optimize system performance, and support critical business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications to support manufacturing and business operations.Create robust, scalable, and high-quality software solutions requiring minimal post-implementation modifications.Develop and maintain applications using Python, SQL, and other programming technologies.Manage and support Oracle and DB2 databases, including queries, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.Develop and maintain solutions using Ignition by Inductive Automation.Support system integration projects involving PLCs, OPC, IoT, and industrial automation platforms.Investigate and resolve software-related issues, including communication, connectivity, permissions, and performance challenges.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement effective solutions.Support software deployment, validation, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain technical documentation and follow software development best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field- ObligatoryStrong programming experience with Python and SQL.Experience working with Oracle and DB2 databases.Knowledge of Ignition by Inductive Automation.Understanding of system integration technologies, including PLC, OPC, and IoT environments.Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.Excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems.Working knowledge of networking concepts and network infrastructure.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience in Software Engineering or Industrial Software Development.Experience with programming languages such as Java, PowerBuilder, or other 3GL/4GL technologies.Experience supporting manufacturing, automation, or industrial environments.Knowledge of MES, SCADA, or industrial data collection systems.Familiarity with software integration and enterprise application support.
