Description
We are looking for an experienced IBM i / AS400 RPG Developer with strong hands-on expertise in RPG, CL, COBOL, and DB2 SQL.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for application development, database management, system configuration, production support, and troubleshooting of critical batch processing issues.
The role requires someone who can work independently in an IBM i environment and support both development and operational activities.
Key Skills & Responsibilities
Strong programming experience in RPG (ILE/Free-Form, RPG IV/RPGLE, SQLRPGLE).Strong knowledge of CL and COBOL programming.Deep expertise in DB2 SQL, including database management, query development, and performance tuning.Experience configuring and managing subsystems, job queues, and user security profiles.Provide production support and troubleshooting for critical batch processing errors.Participate in on-call support for critical production issues when required.Experience with at least one IBM i change management/deployment solution, such as TurnOver, Aldon, Implementer, TD/OMS, or similar.Good to have experience building and consuming REST APIs to help modernize legacy/green-screen applications.Troubleshoot application, database, and system-related issues and implement appropriate solutions.Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions.Required
