At the core is our web-based SaaS platform, which transforms operational knowledge into digital work instructions, intelligent task verification, and automated documentation across web, mobile, and AR. The Role We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to take a leading role in shaping and developing the user-facing experience of our cloud-based SaaS platform. You will build sophisticated, interaction-rich interfaces for industrial customers and take ownership of key areas such as frontend architecture, application state, usability, testing, and production quality. Working closely with our Lead Engineer, CTO, backend and AI engineers, and product and design team, you will turn complex industrial processes and customer requirements into intuitive, reliable, and scalable product experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and combines strong technical depth with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset. You are comfortable taking ownership, adapting quickly, and maintaining a high standard of engineering quality as priorities and product requirements evolve. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain sophisticated frontend features for our SaaS platform.Create intuitive interfaces for workflow-driven, data-rich, and interaction-heavy applications.Take ownership of frontend architecture, component design, state management, and interaction patterns.Integrate backend and AI services, including asynchronous processes, generated content, loading states, failures, and edge cases.Establish and maintain automated frontend testing, including end-to-end coverage for critical user journeys.Improve frontend performance, accessibility, usability, and production reliability.Develop and maintain reusable UI components and Storybook, driving consistency and standardization across the product.Contribute to engineering standards and the evolution of our frontend architecture as the platform grows. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong ownership of frontend development.Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and modern web application development.Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, state management, and asynchronous user flows.Experience with Storybook, component libraries, design systems, and UI standardization.Experience with workflow editors, graph-based interfaces, visual editors, or similar complex applications is a strong advantage.Experience with automated frontend testing including automated end-to-end tests.Good understanding of API integration, frontend data modeling, error handling, performance, and production reliability.Experience with industrial software, manufacturing, engineering, operations, or other real-world operational processes is a strong advantage.Experience in a startup, scale-up, or fast-paced product environment, with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and strong ownership.Strong product mindset and structured problem-solving skills.Fluent English; German is a strong advantage.
