Who we're looking for: a Frontend Developer to join our video player team.
What You’ll Be Working With
Our codebase is primarily written in vanilla JavaScript, with some occasional work in Svelte.
Previous experience with Svelte isn’t required—it’s a lightweight framework that’s easy to pick up.There’s also some legacy PHP code you may need to work with from time to time, although we’re gradually phasing it out.
What We Expect From You
Strong command of vanilla JavaScript (ES2015+), a solid understanding of how the language works, and experience conducting code reviews;A good understanding of client-side and server-side rendering;Hands-on experience with at least one popular UI framework, such as React, Vue, or Svelte;Good knowledge of TypeScript 4+;A solid understanding of object-oriented programming;A willingness to dig into the code and understand how things work, even when using AI-powered tools;The ability to work independently and take ownership of your work.
Nice To Have
Experience with video-on-demand technologies, HTML5 video, or HLS.js;A general understanding of backend development, particularly PHP and Node.js;Experience with CSS preprocessors such as LESS or SCSS, as well as the BEM methodology;Experience writing tests with Jest and Testing Library;A solid understanding of asynchronous programming and multithreading;Good judgment and an eye for quality :)
