EMCD is a global crypto ecosystem building products across mining, wallets, payments, custody, and digital asset infrastructure.
We are looking for a Senior Go Developer to join the CHW Services team and work on backend services connected to real money flows: holds, debits, credits, provider integrations, reconciliation, and transaction lifecycle management.
We are considering candidates from fintech or crypto backgrounds who have built and supported money operations in production.
Responsibilities
Build new backend services in Go and improve existing CHW Services productsIntegrate external providers via REST and internal services via gRPC and KafkaRefactor legacy services to reduce support cost, simplify architecture, remove technical debt, and improve test coverageImprove monitoring, logging, alerting, and security for financial flowsSupport production systems, investigate incidents, and track operation lifecycle end to endProvide technical mentorship within the team
Requirements
Production experience with money operations in fintech or crypto: holds, debits, credits, balances, transaction lifecycle, and reconciliationStrong understanding of how to store and move money between systems safely: decimal precision, operation keys, idempotency, consistency, and auditabilityStrong production experience with Go, PostgreSQL, gRPC / REST, and KafkaReal experience applying microservice patterns to financial systems: Saga, compensation, distributed transactions, outbox, idempotent consumers, and reconciliation loopsExperience integrating external providers via REST, including timeouts, provider-side statuses, delayed reversals, and “our side / their side” reconciliationStrong PostgreSQL beyond CRUD: transactions, isolation levels, unique constraints, locks, indexes, and EXPLAINStrong Kafka knowledge: partitions, consumer groups, offsets, rebalancing, delivery guarantees, ordering, and safe horizontal scalingActive use of AI agents in development, with a practical understanding of spec-driven workflows and harness building
