Remote – UK
£55,000 – £70,000 + 20% bonus
My client is looking for a hands-on Integration Engineer to help build, improve and support the connections between a range of ecommerce and operational platforms.
Sitting within the engineering team, you'll work across APIs, webhooks, backend services and data flows, connecting ecommerce with ERP, warehouse, fulfilment and other third-party systems.
This is a hands-on technical role rather than a purely configuration or support position.
You'll be involved throughout the lifecycle – understanding requirements, designing integrations, building solutions and supporting them in production.

Design, build and maintain integrations between ecommerce and operational systemsDevelop and consume REST/GraphQL APIs and webhooksBuild backend services using JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js or similarWork with data flows covering orders, customers, products, inventory and fulfilmentIntegrate ecommerce platforms with ERP, WMS, fulfilment and third-party systemsDiagnose integration failures, data discrepancies and production issuesImprove monitoring, reliability and scalability across existing integrationsWork with engineering and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
About you
Hands-on experience building system integrationsStrong experience working with APIs, webhooks and third-party platformsBackend development experience using JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js or similarComfortable working with data flowing between multiple systemsExperience owning integrations from requirements/design through to productionStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience within ecommerce or another high-volume transactional environment would be particularly useful.
Exposure to Shopify / Shopify Plus, NetSuite, ERP/WMS platforms, Celigo or another iPaaS would be a major advantage, but isn't essential.
The key requirement is someone who can actually build integrations, rather than purely configure or support them.
