Join our newly created European Data & Analytics HUB! - we are growing! This strategic initiative is created to enable the change of Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) to a data-driven company. Our goal is to empower all VWFS business units to use data effectively, efficiently and compliantly in their business decisions. D&A originally has been set up as central HQ function located in Germany. To strengthen D&A’s international profile and to cope with the increasing demand for D&A’s services, the European D&A Hub has recently been established in Warsaw, Poland. The teams in both locations work closely aligned to deliver outstanding data products and services for international data use cases at VWFS group. Data Foundation — About: The Data Foundation team makes the company’s data available, and thus builds the groundwork for the efficient use of data by all business units at VWFS. We want to make accessing data feel like shopping at a market: everything in one place, easy to find, and in reliable quality. We cover the entire process from initial data requirements to reliable integrated data provisioning for analytical, administrative, and operational purposes. Data Engineering is the main activity at Data Foundation. Each Data Engineer ensures that data requirements have been properly defined and efficient and effective data products have been created to fulfill these requirements reliably on a day-to-day basis. Main tasks: Collect, analyze, and understand the data requirements of our internal customers in all parts of the companyAdvise our internal customers on the design of efficient data-driven processesCreate and maintain modular conceptual and logical data models based on these requirementsDesign, implement, test, and deploy efficient data integration/harmonization processes from a variety of internal and external data sourcesDesign and negotiate interfaces and service level agreements with your process partnersEnsure that your data products run reliably and efficiently in production (together with IT operations)Advance the agile way of working at Data Foundation with your ideas for process improvementsPerform on-call duties where required (on up to 12 days per year) Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field2–4 years of professional experience as an Oracle Developer, Database Developer, or Data EngineerGood hands‑on experience in Oracle database development, including SQL, PL/SQL, and basic performance tuningExperience in implementing data integration or ETL processes in enterprise environmentsBasic experience with data modeling concepts (conceptual and logical models)Familiarity with Oracle APEX, Oracle GoldenGate, Informatica, Automic or SAP BW/4HANA is an advantageExperience working with version control systems (e.g. Git)Ability to work with business stakeholders and support requirement analysis with guidance from senior colleaguesExperience working in agile environments (Scrum or SAFe); familiarity with JiraAnalytical mindset and willingness to learn and grow in an enterprise data environmentGood communication skills and customer‑oriented attitudeVery good English and Polish language skills (C1)Knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks (e.g. ITIL) and relevant certifications are beneficial We offer: Employment contract - the only optionHybrid work model and a very good office location (Rondo ONZ 1)Medical package (full specialist package with dentistry)Health AcademyMulticafeteria - everyone will find something for themselves ☺Lunch cardLife insuranceEmployee Pension ProgramCompany products and services at a special priceInteresting trainingsStudy fundingOnline language classes (English/German)
