Python Engineer (Mid-Level) Tech: Python, SQL, REST APIs Office: Hybrid — 4 days in office (Central London) Salary: £80,000 to £100,000 Eng Size: Large global org, small 8-person AI team We're working with a globally recognised infrastructure and engineering firm operating across some of the UK and Europe's most complex built-environment programmes — spanning transport, water, energy, and sustainability at serious scale. As they invest in their internal digital capability, they're building the tools and data infrastructure that help engineers and project teams make better decisions, faster. They need a mid-level Python Engineer to join a cross-functional team building the internal tooling, data pipelines and automation services that sit behind that work. What you'll do: Build and maintain Python-based tooling, automation scripts and internal APIs that serve engineering and project delivery teamsWork with structured and semi-structured data — cleaning, transforming and surfacing it for downstream consumersCollaborate with senior engineers and domain experts to translate real-world engineering problems into clean, maintainable codeWrite tests, contribute to code reviews, and help raise the bar on code quality across the teamUse AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow What they need: 4–7 years of Python development experience in a professional settingComfortable with SQL and working with relational dataExperience building or maintaining REST APIs or internal toolingGood instincts around clean code, testing and version control (Git)Able to work independently on well-scoped problems and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
