Senior DevOps Engineer

As part of the Platform Engineering team, you'll help drive the evolution of a cloud-native environment, focusing on infrastructure automation, containerisation and platform reliability. This role would suit someone who enjoys designing scalable cloud platforms, automating infrastructure, and continually improving engineering practices. Required skills: At least 3+ years experience in a Senior Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer positionStrong hands-on AWS experience, including designing highly available and resilient cloud environmentsProven experience working with AWS ECS and container-based workloadsExperience delivering container migration projectsStrong knowledge of AWS services covering compute, networking, databases and securityCommercial experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as CodeHands-on experience implementing and managing DatadogStrong scripting skills using Python and/or BashGood understanding of cloud security, container security and infrastructure best practicesStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering teamsComfortable managing multiple priorities within an Agile delivery environmentKey responsibilities & duties include: Design, implement and support scalable AWS infrastructureLead the migration of containerised applications to AWS ECSBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code using TerraformDevelop and improve CI/CD pipelines with GitHub ActionsConfigure and optimise monitoring, alerting and observability using DatadogPartner with software engineering teams to streamline deployments and improve platform usabilityEnsure security, resilience and operational best practices are embedded across the platformTroubleshoot infrastructure and production issues while driving long-term improvementsContribute to platform architecture and cloud engineering standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across automation, performance and reliability
